Leadership for the Future
August 8, 1.00-3.30

Many kinds of leaders have helped change the world. In addition to good leaders, bad leaders, clear leaders, and uncertain leaders, there have been political leaders, intellectual leaders, moral leaders, military leaders, and artistic leaders, to name just a few. Leadership for libraries is also about changing the world. There are many diverse models. It's not about being a perfect person, or even about being a perfect leader. It is about: ·Knowing where and how to pay attention. · Recognizing whose agreement you need, on what, and how much. · Understanding right actions, wrong actions, your actions, others' actions. These basic skills will be the focus of the session on Leadership for the Future.
