Erika Condon

Erika Condon By way of introduction, I am the Mendocino County Library Director with 5 libraries and a bookmobile. Mendocino County is a large area on the coast of northern California, about the size of Connecticut. It is beautiful, with redwood forests, wineries, ranches and a lovely coastline. It is also a challenge to serve a population in a rural county.

I have been a librarian for over half my life. I received my MALS from U of Denver, worked as a reference librarian at CSU, Sacramento, was the Library Director of Mount St Mary's College, Los Angeles, moved into the corporate world as the Corporate Librarian with Computer Science Corporation, transitioned into public librarianship at El Segundo Public Library, and am now with Mendocino County.

My father was career Army, so I have lived around the world as a child and still love to travel. My other interests include cooking, gardening and reading. I am the Executive Secretary of Salmon Unlimited in northern California and have lots to do on the weekends.
