Deborah Estreicher

Deborah Estreicher My name is Deborah Estreicher and I am an Outreach Librarian with the San Jose Public Library. Popped in directly out of library school eleven years ago and I've been here ever since. I work with a great team, promoting the library through attendance at events throughout the city -- visiting preschools, and sharing books with the children, parents and teachers who take part in our Books for Little Hands Program; and, with my colleagues, (in collaboration with the City's Parks and Rec Department) conducting a two-hour, seven-week program of songs, stories and crafts from throughout the world at our local public schools. I am also a central selector for Hebrew language materials and currently chair the SJPL's Multicultural Services Committee and am a member in the Peninsula Library System/Silicon Valley Library System's Multicultural Committee. I love what I am doing and hope to be a kicker in to my seventies.

On the personal side, I am a proud mother of a four-footer named Schmutznik. We both love to travel and hike.

Can't wait for August. Until then, best wishes.

Deborah
