Analog Leadership in a Digital World

Marty is President and CEO of Alibris, the leading global supplier of rare, used, and hard-to-find books. Prior to founding Alibris with Dick Weatherford, Manley served as Managing Director of Strategy and Business Services for Kaiser Permanente, where he led a major restructuring of hospital services.

In 1993, Marty was named by President Clinton to serve as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor, responsible for creating a federal agency to promote workplace innovation. He has advised executives of technology, service, and manufacturing companies as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. and Waterman & Company. Marty graduated with honors from the University of California and Harvard Business School.
